Requirements for Enrollment in Senior High School

Are you interested in joining the OEd Senior High School family? Before you begin, here’s what you need to know about our requirements for senior high school. Because we are 100% online, submission of our requirements for senior high school enrollment will also be done online, so you don’t have to worry about visiting our main campus to drop off any documents. Simply email them to us and you’re ready to go!

Senior High School Application FAQs

New K11 students are expected to submit the following:

Yes, of course! For students transferring from other high schools, you will need to submit:

The tuition fee costs 32,000.00 in one year on all strands. No miscellaneous fees added aside from the 1,000.00 admission fee every term. The students may pay upfront and will be charged an admission fee only once or may also pay in payment terms (please contact customer@amauonline.com for details).

All students are required to pay only on the accredited bank accounts and payment gateways of AMAOEd:

  • DragonPay (Payment Partners: Online Banking, ATM Banking, ECPay, Bayad Center, Mall Billing Centers)
  • Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard)
  • PayPal
  • Over-the-Counter Bank Transactions

To validate your payment, you must submit proof of payment to payments@amauonline.com. Accepted forms of proof of payment include:

  • Over-the-counter Bank Deposit: Deposit Slip;
  • Paypal (including credit card payments sent through paypal@amaes.edu.ph): Paypal Confirmation sent to their email;
  • Online banking: Screengrab of Transaction Confirmation and transaction receipt email from the bank;
  • Remittance Center: Remittance slip and Proof of deposit from the
  • DragonPay: Confirmation Receipt;
  • Online Remittance (e.g. TNG in HongKong): Screengrab of Transaction Confirmation and transaction receipt email from the bank.

Please ensure also that important details such as the following are clear and is present on the document that they’ll be sending:

Payment slips and other senior high school application requirements mentioned above must be verified by the Billings and Collections before activation.

Once the payment is confirmed and verified, the student is required to make an initial login through our student portal (lms.amauonline.com) using the registered email address and password they provided. The subjects will be activated within 24 to 48 school hours from Monday to Friday.

The evaluation of credentials both Grade 10 completers and Grade 11 Transferees shall still undergo assessment of records. The evaluation may take 24 to 48 school hours from Mondays to Fridays. All submissions during Saturdays and Sundays will be attended within the following week according to how they are queued.

Since our online SHS program doesn’t follow a traditional academic calendar, you can apply at any time! Our school year is divided into two terms, running for 20 weeks or equivalent to 140 days. You can start your online schooling anytime within this period. If you complete all requirements earlier than 140 days, and it’s been 70 days since your subjects have been activated, you may enroll for the next term. But your report card will only be released after the 140-day residency.

General FAQs for Senior High School

Students are required to choose their preferred senior high strands as a prerequisite for college admission. The choice of career track will define the content of the subjects the student will take. Unlike junior high school, senior high school will offer some general subject that all students will take, and more specialized subjects that will be dictated by the track the student will choose.

There really isn’t a right or wrong answer when it comes to picking a track as that’s subjective. We suggest taking a lot at the tracks AMA Online offers and measuring them against a couple things:

  • Your personality: check out and see which track matches your personality and taste. There are several tracks available, each one will highlight different strengths and abilities. Find the one that closely matches yours and the career path you intend to take.
  • Do your research: look up the curriculum and read up about the outline for each track to see which one you’re most inclined towards.
  • Know the subjects in each track: take a look at what subjects each track offers and see if they spark your interest. Go for the one that you’re passionate about.

The senior high school curriculum was developed by the Department of Education to provide graduates with the acquire essential skills that will provide them work opportunities to different sectors in the society. The recent changes done in the education system was done to make students more globally competitive, helping them get into more universities both here and abroad, and to give them a competitive edge after graduation that will enable them to go against graduates from all around the world.

While the new senior high school program was developed to help students transition from graduation to employee, it does not ensure employment upon graduation. Rest assured, however, that AMA Online University has taken the necessary steps to provide our students with a competitive edge that will enable you to be fit for employment. You will be eligible to apply for courses in TESDA and receive Certificates of Competency (COCs) and National Certificates (NCs).

The senior high school program is designed to prepare you for college and university education. AMA Online has designed a curriculum that gives each of our students a holistic, fundamental foundation on general education subjects as well as specialized subjects in your chosen career path.

Senior high schools, specifically grades 11 and 12, span over two academic years composed of two semesters each. Each of these semesters is further subdivided into 29 mandatory and 2 elective subjects that each require 80 hours to complete. The exception to this is Health and P.E. which only take 20 hours each to complete.

Yes, senior high school is a requirement according to the law. Beginning SY 2016-2017, Grade 10 completers must go through Grades 11 and 12 to graduate from Basic Education

No, sorry. In order to proceed with your senior high school application, you will need to submit all of the necessary requirements listed above. Failure to submit even one (1) requirement will forfeit your application to AMA SHS.

Student Applicants (SA) interested in applying to OEd Senior High School should register and fill up the online registration form in our portal here. OEd has a single sign-up and log-in system which connects the email address and password you’ve provided to both our Student Information System (SIS) and our Learning Management System (LMS).

Once you’ve registered, SAs must log in through portal.amauonline.com using the email address and password you’ve given. SAs must then select Senior High School under “program they wish to enroll in”. For initial evaluation, students need to submit scanned copy (PDF, DOC, JPEG, PNG format with no greater than 5MB file size) of the following requirements:

  • Form 138 (Report Card)
  • Form 137 (Entire Record)
  • 2 x 2 Colored Photos White background
  • Birth Certificate
  • Certificate of Good Moral
